Today was a pretty amazing day! Imagine having your own guide to drive you through a private game reserve. Yep, that's what happened (twice today) and I feel like the luckiest person around.
We went out on both a morning and evening game drive this morning and saw all kinds of animals again. It was so much fun. We drove to a couple of the camps where they host groups for education and training. I could totally stay there a week! I watched a video today about the operations here. Duane works for a Canadian mining company that mines for gold, literally, and at the same time, they want to give back to the country by having a nature conservancy which Duane is in charge of running. Jobs are created for many of the locals. So, two seemingly opposites, are able to coexist and it's a winning situation for everyone.
The experiences were beyond my wildest imagination!!! What a treat to be able to spend a day here with two incredibly kind and fun people and what a great start back to my biking adventure!
