Lille - Arras
Wow, another sunny day. We're not used to this. It's also reason for us to get on the road, as tempting as it is to spend more time here in Lille with Cathie and Ming. But before we leave we have a memorable breakfast together with Cathie's parents, brother and sister-in-law who have stopped by. In a hilarious mixture of French and English we have a lively conversation from the moment we meet until we mount our bikes sometime around noon.

The first stretch of today's ride isn't very pretty, later we have a nice stretch along a canal. In Arras we try to hunt down the camping ground. Unfortunately, it closed several years ago. We take a room at the Astoria, a comfortable alternative.
