A journal from 2007, republished here on Cycle Blaze. 

We had a grand tour planned for the summer of 2007, cycling through the countries that at one time constituted the Habsburg Empire. We didn't get far. I had a knee injury on the third day out and we, or rather I, limped to the train station in Innsbruck and got the train back. Janos didn't limp, but he did suffer from disappointment. This is the tour we took at the end of the summer and happily saw that I was again fit to pedal.
