Blue Water
We were on no mood to rush off this morning but we had to check out of our digs by ten o'clock. Once we had negotiated the hill that lay between Picnic Bay and Nelly Bay we had a bit of dead time waiting for the twelve o'clock ferry.

Once on Townsville we found the perfect spot to have lunch. Railway Park is the local mini train enthusiasts' head quarters and has a real train station and lots of (ultra narrow guage) track.
Then we headed up the busy A16 that would take us to the Bruce Highway.
We're spending the night at the Blue Waters caravan park. Our camping fee was very kindly waived because we are cycle tourists. It's a very simple campground and right next to the Bruce but we can't complain about the price.
We have no idea what tomorrow holds for us.
Today's ride: 36 km (22 miles)
Total: 4,182 km (2,597 miles)
