Gulargambone

We were up at sunrise so that we could squeeze in another walk to look for Koalas again. Of course, without success. But it was enjoyable nonetheless. We've had a lovely stay in the Warrumbungles. It ranks as one of the highlights of the trip so far.

If only koalas were as easy to find as 'roos.

We were on the road by nine because we wanted to get to Gulargambone with sufficient time to do our laundry and have it dry before sunset. Leaving the Warrumbungles was mostly downhill with a few unexpected bumps but after that it was mostly flat and straight. A fresh headwind made it a tougher ride than we were anticipating and we were more tired than expected by the time we arrived at the excellent caravan park in Gulargambone just after two.

A lot of water on the flat lands between the Warrumbungles and Gulargambone. Testimony to last week's heavy rain.

We're heading to Coonamble tomorrow, fifty odd kilometers directly north of Gulargambone.
