Beach day at Kobuleti
Last night we were debating whether we should have a longer ride of about ninety kilometers to the town of Samtredia or split the journey over two days. Over our tea/coffee this morning we decided to break the ride with a stay at a campsite between here and there. But that's not how it panned out.
With a shorter ride on the cards we had a late start and so some time after nine o'clock we cycled the hundred meters to the beach to have a last look at the Black Sea.

The sight of the sea was enough for us to change our minds. We headed back to the guesthouse and moved back into the room we had just vacated. Ten minutes later we were back on the beach wearing our bathing costumes.

The rest of the day was most relaxing. I rode into town to pick up some groceries but that was the extent of my exertions.
Many of the other guests who were here last night checked out today, including Luka whom I had mistakenly assumed was part of the owners family. However a new translator arrived to ease the communications between ourselves and the Georgian owners in the form of a Russian draft dodger who teaches English in Kutaisi, a city through which we should pass in a few days time.
Today's ride: 6 km (4 miles)
Total: 982 km (610 miles)
