I was encouraged by Scott Anderson to post my first bike tour here, even though it is from memory and without pictures.

I entered the title, the start and end dates

I entered the section title 

I posted two pictures for title page and for profile (I think) 

I did not see anything to post content though (but I do here on the forum)

Am I missing something?

When you click the "Create Item" button, choose the option for "Entry."  That will let you create a daily entry that you can then add text and pictures into.  Hopefully I am remembering this correctly, but something like that is how I recall it works.

And when I click on create item, I get right back to the "Title" "Item type" and "Item placement" page.

Hmm - not sure what's happening. You might try hitting the "View Journal" button, then hit the "Edit Journal" button and if necessary create the new item again - when you are done you should see the new item (the blank page you created) and be able to select it and enter text and pics. 

Hi Bill - have you tried clicking on the "Summer, 1963" text?  It looks like it might be trying to be a link...

I tried adding another page, and it worked, so I was able to delete the first 2 and change the name, so it should be good.  We shall see what tomorrow brings!
