The bike is a 2007 New World Tourist model, made-to-measure (I'm 5'10", and weigh about 250 pounds; the bike includes BF's heavier-gauge tubing as a result) and to my taste. That means it has:
Shimano Tiagra triple crank (50/40/30, I believe); I replaced all the chainrings, along with the chain and cassette, about 1,200 miles ago.
Shimano 105 front hub
Shimano Capreo rear hub and cassette (and yes I will include the Capreo-specific lock ring tool). As noted above, the cassette is "relatively" new and should last for several thousand miles.

It's got the wear and tear and nicks and scratches that go with a 17 year old bike that was ridden a reasonable amount, but no major dents or dings.
