My Bike Friday needs a new home

Keith Adams

Why not yours?  I'd like to get $1,000 for it.

The bike is a 2007 New World Tourist model, made-to-measure (I'm 5'10", and weigh about 250 pounds; the bike includes BF's heavier-gauge tubing as a result) and to my taste.  That means it has:

  • Shimano Tiagra triple crank (50/40/30, I believe); I replaced all the chainrings, along with the chain and cassette, about 1,200 miles ago.
  • Shimano 105 front hub
  • Shimano Capreo rear hub and cassette (and yes I will include the Capreo-specific lock ring tool).  As noted above, the cassette is "relatively" new and should last for several thousand miles.
  • Shimano Tiagra front and rear derailleurs
  • Bike Friday split road bars for easy packing
  • Bar-end indexed shifters
  • Bike Friday folding front and rear racks
  • Avid rim brakes
  • Chris King headset.
  • Samsonite travel suitcase

You'll supply the pedals; we can discuss the seat during negotiations.

My contact information is in my profile.

It's got the wear and tear and nicks and scratches that go with a 17 year old bike that was ridden a reasonable amount, but no major dents or dings.

The bike is located in Rockville, Maryland.  I'm happy to deliver it within a 250 mile radius of home, or to split the cost of shipping it in the travel case if it needs to go farther afield.
