Bob,
I have experienced lots of glitches with the 'comments' through the years. For example, when I have wanted to post two comments in the same place my second comment isn't allowed to post at all. I've had to copy it, leave that journal, return to it and then paste my comment. Like you, I have also lost comments entirely.
I've informed Jeff of these instances and he is aware of them. I'm sure that when he finds the time he will fix it. I think it's probably a lot of work to fix these sorts of problems and it has been simmering on the back burner for Jeff. It's something I would let simmer for a long time too because it's not a huge problem, just annoying from time to time.
Bruce, I agree this is very low priority, and easily worked around. I wasn’t trying to express any urgency at all. The old software developer in me just can’t resist documenting a bug when I trip over it.
Oh, I know. I agree. I just wanted to let you know that Jeff is aware of it but I know how busy he always is. The problem may not be fixed soon and I think we are all okay with that.

Actually you only have to leave that page. Go back a page then return and you get a fresh bite at the apple.
I wonder whether we should start a thread here in the Forums: CycleBlaze Tips and Tricks. Each post could present one of the known issues and add a known workaround. No fair posting (advertising dirty laundry) problems that can't be worked around with a bit of creativity or just plain good luck.
I think with technology of this kind there are always some sorts of problems and also some workarounds, as you say. So, Tips and Tricks might not be a bad posting. We are all creative enough to find solutions to the problems we encounter but we should also share our findings.
In the end I think all of us would agree that Jeff should have a bike trip during his time off rather than stay home to fix certain glitches in the website! We can get by.
This post is mostly directed towards CycleBlaze owner Jeff and whoever else might be providing support, but just noticed a slight glitch when attempting to post a comment. If the text includes the left angle bracket (aka the 'less than' sign), immediately followed by a non-blank character, the rest of the comment text from there to the end is truncated. I'm guessing that somewhere in the code, it's being treated as an opening html tag. Low priority of course, but nevertheless slightly annoying since I lost most of my comment!
