The Meaning of "Following"

George (Buddy) Hall

What does it mean to "follow" someone?  Folks who follow me don't get a notice when I post in a journal - so just what occurs when you follow someone? Is there something that happens when you follow someone? I can't seem to tell that it makes any difference whether or not I follow someone.

AFAIK  if you follow a journal it appears in your "What's New" thread, otherwise you have to look in the "Journals"  tab to see updates.

if you click on My CycleBlaze and then on What’s New, you’ll see the posts from the people you follow, newest first. It’s a handy way to catch up on your journal reading.

Thanks - I didn't know about the "what's new" thing, I learned something - now I'll start looking there - and now I know I need to inform others to look there if they are following me. Live and learn
