Oh wow! I was just curious but now it's nice knowing that our first two journals are numbers 19 and 20. Prestigious. It's all about impressing people with stuff like this, isn't it? In this same vein, I'll gladly give out my low REI member number if anyone is interested.
Yesterday there were 1004 journals, today 1003.
Who has baled out?
My Adventure Cycling number is 383. Is that low enough to impress? My REI number will impress no one, although I did join way back when.
Bicycles with fancy lugs impress me. Belt drives. Hmmm, that's an interesting topic. What do you see on another cyclist's bike that is of special interest?
You should post that in the forum under its own string. It’s a great question and will likely get a lot of responses.
Agreed. I'll wait for that thread to begin, and while waiting I'll ruminate over what to add in reply.
Kelly, I'm not sure if that is a good Adventure Cycling number or not but just the same, I'm impressed. I joined REI in 1972. I feel very old having said that.
I think the thing that I long for is a belt drive and pinion gears so that is what impresses me when I look at other people's bikes.
Bruce,
Look at the Priority 600 bicycle. That's the one Jacinto bought. The entire bike is cheaper than just the cost of the Pinion at $2,300. Although it seems when he bought it, the price was $1,800. or so. He felt it was a screaming deal and is happy with the ride/bike quality.
Kelly
There are actually a lot of non-public journals — about 300, in fact. These are journals that may have once been public but aren't anymore, are works in progress that haven't yet been made public, or were just made for some testing purpose.
If you select the Journals tab in My CycleBlaze, then click on the name of a journal, you'll see its number pop up in the address bar of your browser.
