When we are close to the border, there are these dirt roads by the fence that the border patrol drive on. They sweep them with horizontal truck tires to smooth the dirt...then they look for footprints.
3 years agoGlad to know you made it through all the turmoil, Ken. Times like this surely bring home the truth of the term "helpmate".
3 years agoSo sorry about your rough day! That sounds terrible!
Ken, I hope your symptoms have all disappeared and you can start fresh in the morning. Please don't take any chances.
Oh my!
And what are those roads (tracks) beside the road?
Lovely. What a desk!

3 years agoHope you have nothing but westerly winds behind you today. And make sure Dennis gives you a rest stop every 15 miles!
Your pics show an amazingly flat, monotonous landscape (except for the very distant hills). Reminds me of the Skagit Flats Marathon route. It was difficult for me to stay focused and energized, but you seem to be handling it well.
Keep it up...proud of you two!!!
Oh, thank you for the good " forecast"!
Francie
Looks like you’re doing well; crossing the Pecos next, leaving the wild west. Scenery should improve in a few days as you get into the hill country. Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush should be in full bloom.

Yep, gonna climb back into the saddle and moderate my effort. Light winds in our face ,but only 1800 ft to climb in 80 miles.
