Looks like a beautiful ride with more visual variety. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Yes, at this point Jerr from Lexington, MO plans to rejoin us just before we leave TX. He will fly into Beaumont,TX and meet us at our stop in Lumberton, TX.

We heard a report that the Pensacola Bay Bridge on our route from AL to FL will not be re-opened from hurricane damage until May, not as planned on today's date.

Congratulations on the half way Point! Really enjoying the reports and photos. Are you expecting your recovering rider to rejoin soon?

Thank you, Joe. I can't believe we are now over half-way across the Southern Tier. After our day off here in Fredericksburg, the ride E to Austin will be our last 80+ mile ride with nearly 4,000 ft of climbing. Of course a ride with only 1,000 ft of climb, all at 8-12%, would be a little harsh. I better have a look at the upcoming elevation profiles:)

Definitely. Though, I seem to be the only one with killed quads. : )
So happy that Dad is back to his usual. We have really encouraged each other. Quite wonderful.

Apparently not more efficient, but definitely more comfortable. The seat is quite a thick cushion and you don't bend over.

Is he riding a recumbent the whole way? Does that make him more efficient?

I'd say "challenging" is an understatement. You must be fit as a fiddle.

No cruising though, just parked cars. The Breakfast Club was for real! No dry, wrapped hotel breakfast burritos.

This has been a challenging & very special adventure for the two of us, with great small group dynamics.
