Yes indeed. There was ice cream sandwich and ice cream bar. Sandwich was $3 I think, and quite thick. Only thing, the journey is short so you have to eat fast.
p.s. On the other side, a chain link fence around some of the ferry electrics had clearly water weeds/debris stuck in it up to chest height, showing a previous flood level Yikes!
Congratulations! It’s not only a long ride, but there is a fair amount of climbing along the way too. Nothing big, but those little hills and rises add up.
5 years agoThis bridge is new in the last two years; and the pedestrianized old railroad bridge across the Willamette to West Salem is recent also. They have greatly improved the livability of the city.
5 years agoThey sell ice cream on the ferry now? What a great thing! That’s new in the last few years.

5 years agoGood photography isn't always in sync with good cycling conditions. It's a great shot with the yellow truck and grey sky!
5 years agoGreat tip. It'll be Broken Yolk!
5 years agoI think you'll have a far better breakfast four blocks south of you at The New Morning Bakery or the Broken Yolk Cafe.
5 years agoOh yes, that's the heart of Corvallis' downtown. A few blocks away is the beautiful Oregon State University campus. Corvallis has lots of bike lanes and is quiet this time of year during the summer break. There are some nice bike paths on the west side of town too. (I lived there for 15 years and am still very fond of Corvallis)

Yes, it's a terrific asset for the city. We of course used it to get past the town!
