Yes, my Brooks 😪. I knew it was getting close to time to replace but thought I could manage this trip without a problem. Guess I was wrong!

That big old seat would never have worked. What I got is touch and go towards the end of the day!

Not your Brooks??? Ok that first seat at Academy would have been awful and definitely cause more issues.

It must have been a fellow comrade! 🤣

They were looking for a handout. Or they sensed a fellow comrade. :)

You are right - it probably is a little narrow but was the only viable option. It isn't quite as wide as the Brooks and I need almost all of that. I only have a few more riding days so should survive, but already don't like it much!

I would have ordered a Brooks delivered somewhere if we had a lot further to go. 😊

Just reread your intro. Only a few days to go on the "new" seat. You'll be fine!

Your new saddle looks a bit narrow for a woman's anatomy. Usually those designed for touring are wider at the "sit" end, since often people touring have a more upright position. Hope it works out for you. If too painful try to find a slightly cushioned (gel filled) cover to attach over top. Sometimes available at Walmarts. How long is your tour? A few weeks might be alright, but a few months of riding on a painful saddle could lead to a less than happy lady.

Well. It’s good to have your favorite comfort; especially on a bicycle 🚲 😍

We'll see - I think I can muddle through, but of course I'm not 40-something anymore! 😉

I haven't had one in many years. I've been riding a Brooks for 20 years and am very spoiled. They just work for me.

It was the most reasonable available. May not be quite wide enough but will have to do!

That saddle has ridden many, many miles. Funny how we were just talking about you saying that you needed to replace it. Hope the Walmart replacement doesn't give you saddle sores.

You can’t go wrong with a Selle Royal…
