Were you a prison dentist in Pennsylvania? The worldwide super-highway reports someone of your name, but probably less villainous...

I worked in prison for 30 years, before retiring about 9 months ago. I know all about setting off metal detectors. My joke was that it was the steel plate in my hard head (not really). Glad you got to see the states the right way after all... but the offer still stands. All the best. Dino

Hi

That really is extremely kind of you. Thank you.

The bolts got taken out of my foot a year or two later. There were no side-effects. Nor did I set off airport alarms, as I'd hoped.

I have indeed ridden in the States again, from the White House to the Golden Gate. And we went back this past year, without bikes, to visit a guy in prison with whom I've been corresponding for years.

Thanks again, Dino.

I enjoyed reading your journal that was enhanced by your flair for writing. I also hope that by now, you have recovered from your injury. If you ever come back to the states to tour, I would be happy to help you out, if you need anything. All the best.

There is a more recent production, "Mamma Mia," where a woman utters a similar line about a man (played by Andy Garcia).
