Very impressive cycling my friend! Love journeying with you through all the small towns, as well as the open road! 🤠

I'll be close to Buffalo by the end of June.
I hope you have a great trip!
John
John,
Not sure where you will be between June 27-July1, but I'm planning on cycling from the north side of Yellowstone (as close as I can get considering the flooding) up to Great Falls. I decided to take your advice and head a bit more east for my multiyear cross country route and eventually will ride through Glacier in the early morning at some point in the upcoming years (and not go through Missoula). Anyway, if you're in the vicinity maybe we'll meet.
Todd
Hey John!
I'm enjoying following along.
I hope you have lots of quiet back roads and perfect weather in the next weeks.

I was pretty sure, right off, that things would be closed a long, long time. Especially when roads and bridges are washed out. The South Loop iss supposed to reopen, but I'm not sure whether campgrounds will reopen if water & sewer are impacted.
"...it looks like I won't be biking through Yellowstone next week."
The news this morning was running a story that the western and southern areas of the Park *may* be reopened within a few days, so don't make any rash decisions just yet. But DO monitor closely the NPS Yellowstone website and other news sources for updates; they seem to be coming fairly thick and fast right now.
I love those kind of roads. Everything is so green. Keep rollin'

I'm no longer on CGOAB, but my Trans Am journal is now online at http://tuz.net
I'm gonna post it here when I get some time.
Hoping for tailwinds for you. I've been enjoying reading your, and other journals here.
Hey Keith, thanks for the note. Good to see Montgomery County represented on this site. One of your journals has interesting journal entries on lots of terrain that I too have covered on daily rides. One of my old standby rides is to Poolesville and back. I'd be happy to show you some riding around Frederick County or Washington County some time.

I don't suppose the Keith from Colorado was riding a Bruce Gordon? Of course, there could be any number of Keiths' riding and the Keith I knew might be on a different bike now . . .
2 years agoIn 2006, we finished a tour in Arco. I went back to my journal - there's not a single photo on that day. I can't contribute commentary on the town's prosperity at the time. It did have a uHaul . . .
