Hi,
Looks like a splendid plan. I’ll bet the kids will love it too. From back in my tour guide days, when this part of the Loire valley was my stomping grounds, the one site that sticks out as the most kid friendly was the da Vinci museum at the Clos Luce in Amboise. But I’ll bet you knew that already. I’ll also bet that Les quebecoises will be an enormous hit with the locals who will spoil them rotten if allowed.
Cheers,
Keith
Can't wait to see those kids in action!

2 months agoIt's the Nikon P950. If you search Youtube you will find a ton of coverage about it. One of my favourites is this really low key Australian guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LHrUWh_Yk4&t=128s who lives in Murcia. He has many P950 videos, but in the one I am citing he is sitting in his car, with the camera on a bean bag over the open window. Dodie finds him really boring, but I like his unassuming style. He claims to use only the Auto Mode and to edit with Nikon's supplied free software.
2 months agoPretty sure he must be a youngster.
Remind me of what this beast of a camera is again? I wouldn’t want to pack it around on the road, but it would work well on one of our car-assisted winter tours.
You both continue to inspire me to be fitter!
2 months agoYes, there is a difference between a bridge camera and a camera using a 200 - 500 mm zoom! But you are getting great pictures with your new camera. Change over to a full frame camera and giant zoom when you can't ride your bike any more. That will give you time to save up for it, too.
2 months agoI think Erhard said he was actually very close to this guy!
2 months agoNice to have a long zoom for this one!
2 months agoYes W.A. C. "Wacky" Bennett. But looking up "the smell of money" also produces references from pig processing to marijuana sales, so maybe Bennett did not invent the idea.
