J believes that Joe had something to do with this one 😂

J says: Ahoy Joe, I mean Ahoy Captain Joe! Creative, Pirate Captain!

J asks: did you see any bones or crocodile in the water? Or fish? I’m glad no one fell in!

Refreshing to have the kids with you... this trip was a great idea! My granddaughter and I took a couple of Rick Steves tours (her choice) just after she graduated college. Then she branched out on her own with a couple of tours with girlfriends. World travelers now...
(I was trying to cut & paste to enlarge on my comment, and I see it's now in a different position, sorry.)

They certainly add a new dimension to the trip. Their take on things is often very unique.

Seems likely. They do not l00k exactly like Mallards, just mostly.

Pretty cool. It is called "un bac a chaine", a chain driven ferry, which you pull on to move the boat from one side to the other. One person could do it alone, but it is easier with 2. One to pull the chain and one to hold the ferry in place at either side while the bikes are loaded/unloaded.

Joe's first comment was "was that the scene of a murder?"

Quite possibly, looking at the feet.
