75 kilometers against that headwind! You two must be beat!
6 days agoI saw lots of pictures at the end of your narrative.

6 days agoI still remember looking in at a small restaurant (if you can call it that) in Burnaby, BC, where I lived until 3 years ago. “Proudly serving Campbell’s Soup” said the sign. I didn’t go in. Truthful, yes. Appetizing, no.
6 days agoThis reminds me of riding into Dijon in 1992. We turned off whatever minor road we’d been on onto a busier road heading south into Dijon; the map showed no alternative route for the last 17 km. But those 17 km were straight into a headwind. Luckily for me I could draft Al all the way. Unluckily for both of us, this was the end of a very long day that had started with a train ride to get out of the rain in Champagne.
6 days agoWalter must be a ok guy because it looks like he has the wonderful Tilley hat :) You DO know where that is from, correct ;)
1 week agoI had an automat pizza in Brittany. I’ve had much better pizza, but I’ve also had much worse!
1 week agoThis is the same hotel we stayed at on Avignon. They took one look at my walking and gave us a downstairs room. It was at this hotel we got rid of the bikes
1 week agoLOL - I wouldn't be surprised given your travails over the past couple of weeks.
1 week agoThis IS why you continue to make it! 😉
1 week agoWe generally do just fine. Quitcher bitchin' and get on with it is our motto.
1 week agoOh you crazy young things!! Dodie would NEVER countenance riding through a thing like that. Our Hotel is absolutely wonderful. Cannot imagine trying to get up into the town.
1 week agoThe visit is the best part of the experience. The group was small and the space was too. We love it and do not worry in the least about "health and safety " issues, it was FUN!!!
1 week agoWe prefer soft. Easier on the teeth. Torrone is the name for nougat in Spain. Very similar products we feel. Montelimar nougat is worth a visit and a taste. The tour is free, and super fun.
