Amiens! Let me know if you run into a Poret! This is my husband’s Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather’s birthplace! Oui! 😁

Indeed, the choices for accommodation were few. Tomorrow is supposed to be a shorter, and hopefully easier, day to Amiens.

A long, rough day but looks like few sleeping choices around. Hoping the next legs flatten out. Maybe a rest day in Amiens. Can highly recommend World War I museum in Peronne, a day's ride beyond Amiens. Thanks for your fine reporting.

It would certainly stand out, or maybe blend in to the background. We have never seen one this small at home, although we have come accross a few smart cars. Answering uq's every time you go out can get a little old very quickly.

Google says a top speed of 28 mph.

I think it looks cute!

My daughter had a Smart car. She said it was fun for a couple of weeks, and then she got tired of being an attraction everywhere she went. The car itself worked well for her needs, but she got tired of answering questions. Perhaps it compares a little to being a recumbent rider! There's no blending into the background.

I asked my friend Daniel who is a retired German teacher about Adler. He does not know really but more likely think it is related with some kind of heraldic armors.

No need to say that I also double checked with my IA friend:
The name “Adler” is quite common for hotels in Germany because “Adler” means “eagle” in German. The eagle is a symbol of strength, power, and freedom, which are qualities that many businesses, including hotels, want to be associated with. Additionally, the eagle has historical significance in Germany, as it has been used in various coats of arms and emblems throughout the country’s history.

My husband ( former waste water engineer) said” you would never know looking at this it is a WWP..it looks like a cruise ship”.🙄

Not that we could see. Funnily enough, the actor who played the role was Dodie's first crush. Yeah, she is that old.
