Happy Birthday, Dodie! What a way to spend it! I hope there was gelato too.
1 month agoMy granddaughter and I spent quite a while in the Dali museum... and found it very interesting.
1 month agoThat’s really beautiful.
1 month agoWe will watch you closely on this. It would be great if a train way could be pioneered across the border and the mountains.
I must say, with the beautiful rooms and great, affordable food, here in Spain, crossing back to France at any time does not seems all that attractive. On the other hand, beyond France does lie Germany, Austria, Italy!
Steve is very hard to control and insists on doing things that I know he shouldn't. Still, it doesn't seem to have caused any lasting damage, and the male ego needs to be listened to.

1 month agoHi,
Song thrushes, Turdus philomelos. It’s migration season. I’ve seen an entire field covered with these.
Cheers,
Keith
Priceless expression on Dodie's face!

Gross! But then actual (varnished) moose turd jewelry is sold in Alaska. I lived in Fairbanks from 1974-1984 and in Anchorage from 1986-1991, working for a Federal agency. I had transferred there from California, on a lark. It was super interesting, particularly Fairbanks during the construction of the pipeline. Alaska was the ultimate in personal freedom, adventure, and beauty. A little reminiscence with TMI.
