Foxes are nice, but you can't give one of them 5 euros and get a pizza. Especially on a Saturday or Sunday.
2 weeks agoAgreed! Maybe they're going by that old quote from Jesus: "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." Sure, but a buttery pastry or a pizza would be nice, too.

2 weeks agoPoor Joan. She really was a child of her times. It is sad that for most, if not all, of human history war has been such a major force and "warriors" have been so glorified.

2 weeks agoWhat an interesting day! So much to see. But I don't know how you can do so many kms and so much climbing in bad weather and with headwinds and still enjoy sightseeing! I am very impressed. Chapeau! I could never do it.
2 weeks agoThe track we are following is the "official" one for EV19, the Meuse a Velo. Someone who designed the route has a warped sense of humour. Yes, bathtubs are great! Only problem for Dodie is, with her knees, she always worries about being able to get in, and more importantly, out. She has had difficulty with this on the past!
2 weeks agoWe have been using Cycle.travel site for routing and navigation the last several days and am quite impressed with it. Really like the color coding of roads based on traffic volumes. Seem to route you on very quiet roads. Prefer it to Komoot which I also have been using but don’t like its goat track feature. Bathtubs are one of my favourite accommodation features.

Probably. Interestingly, we saw the same dog the next morning as we were leaving town. Must be a local.
