1 year agoNothin like making the picture match the doctrine. Even the chalice has the 11th century base depicted a good 1000 years before it was even made.

1 year agoThey are not only books, but also works of art. The time, and effort, that went into their production is mind boggling.
1 year agoIt made us irresistibly think of Indiana Jones, you know, "he chose poorly". You are quite right about the probable makeup of the original cup, but logic does not seem to have been a guiding principle when those in charge were determining doctrine.
