True. We call them « sans permits » or no license cars. Be careful when you see one coming down the road, the driver lost his/her license for a reason, often dui, and may be drunk!

Société Cobaty is probably best translated as Cobaty company, Cobaty being someone’s name.

The cafe in the center of this view serves great lunches!

Hi,
The painting is done on the individual pieces of glass using various minerals to get different colors and then fired into the glass, permanently staining it. Hence stained glass, in its truest sense. I’ve tried this, but my drawing skills are not adequate to reproduce panels anything like these. Real artistry, these.
Cheers.

Well, a temple to the French Republic. The flag, the FR monogram on the door, and the decoration with the civic crown all indicate a government building. Maybe the prefecture?

The cycle path on La Lore really is wonderful. We were going to visit Villandry from Tours last year but skipped it since our day was already too full. Now that I see what we missed I'll be angling for another shot at it some day. The gardens have such intricate designs.

Very cool! Why aren't these all the rage today? I'd like my own adult sized one to scoot to the store on!

This is the car you drive when you’ve lost your license. They don’t require a license to drive, are limited to 40kph, and are passed from one guilty driver to the next once the driver has expunged their penalty.

They do seem to be mostly focussed in this region, although we have also seen painted columns in Bruges at the Basilica of the Holy Blood.

Very nice. The European ones have such great colors. And they don’t seem to be as shy either.
