At first I didn't see the dog with a loaf of bread in his mouth, but then I noticed him behind the leg with the wound. Thanks for posting, I really like St. Roch.

1 year agoIf I lived there I think I would never cook again! The day we spent in Toulouse the market was closed and we missed it. Glad to see the pictures.
I hate smelly rooms. I can sympathize with your sleepless night.
After spending several tours aboard a barge ( and bike) it truly is a maneuver of art. And, fun, to boot..:)

Thank you for your kind ( and reasonable) explanation!
It seemed that she was actually the cleaner for the Mairie. French businesses, in general, seem to have somewhat idiosyncratic opening times. Some are closed on Mondays, or Wednesdays, or some random day. They often close for a few hours in the afternoon, or open late in the morning. And almost nothing is open on Sundays, except bars and bakeries. You learn to adjust to the chaos, but it is hard to plsn ahead when you are relocating each day.
1 year agoThe robe attire seems as if you “woke her up”? Or, is this the official attire for the French postal employees? We’re you able to find any answers about post offices being open for actual business transactions?

Poret is like “Smith” in these parts..;)
Barge navigators know what they are doing! Very inspiring!
1 year agoHi,
Plane tree wood sawn across the grain is highly prized for fine furniture, usually for it’s decorative aspect. It is rather unstable though, so it’s not recommended for structural use. I’ve been tempted to use it in my own furniture, but it’s hard to find locally, and not always sawn for best effect.
Halloween! There were other decorations around!
