Perhaps they have “attendants” to locate your boat as a valet does in a parking lot. That is a serious money maker for the “go-pher” ..
1 year agoThat’s why it’s called “funny money”, or perhaps since it IS Europe, the coins are filled with chocolate rather than metal.
1 year agoDo not recall it, but will research it and maybe add it to a future trip. We have seen the same stuff in other locations around Europe, though. Some Chinese company is making a lot of money with plastic "Medieval" stuff.
1 year agoNeither of us seem able to generate much enthusiasm for trying, let alone actually eating, snails, no matter what fancy name one gives them.

1 year agoJust don't get so overtired that you have a bike accident, our stories are not worth it. And besides, they will still be there tomorrow.
1 year agoAnd drool for effect ;0
1 year agoThis is where a fishing line with a bright yellow hook would be useful!
Sort of like the days when the Union 76 Gas Station handed out the bright orange balls to put atop your radio antenna. ( showing my age here)
I stayed up past midnight reading your captivating stories yesterday( well, today, technically) and “paid for it” when trying to ride my own bicycle to exercise classes myself! Will continue to enjoy your journeys as mine are not even worthy of print text!
