I never noticed that, but I'm very impressed. It probably takes a lot of storage, and is a pain in the neck, but totally worth it. I'm gonna give it a shot this summer, only instead of color-matching bridges, I'm gonna match my shirts to the color of the surrounding evergreens.

Hmmmm. That sort of makes sense, because all of the crew members we saw were Westerners. https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/asia/thailand/the-white-lotus-season-three-filming-locations-thailand-b2496619.html

I don't have time for TV either. Especially HBO. Not that I know anything. But. Maybe you spied a Season 3 "White Lotus" film crew (despite rumors placing them in very upscale Phuket resorts)?

The first time I rode a tuk-tuk through Bangkok evening traffic I struggled to recall the Hail Mary, over and over, like doing the rosary, all the way to the train station.

A lot of things in SE Asia are better than in the U.S.

It looks much better than the laundromat in Portland I had to use!

Yeah, I was 25 years old, give me a break! Yes, all we did was sleep! And no vomiting because it was high class stuff we were drinking! When you and I finally meet in Minnesota I will tell you more escapades I had with this bloke.

Yes, I think you used good judgement in not mentioning the drunkenness and the Australian wanting to sleep in your room.
(I'm assuming sleep was all he wanted to do.) This IS a nice website, so I too tend to censor some of my escapades, but I'm not sure I'd be able to resist telling a story like that. I figure I could always plead a case of youthful exuberance. "Hey, that was decades ago. Give me a break."

I didn't think I should mention that when I went home to my hotel one of those Aussie guys asked to sleep in my room because his hotel always locked the gate at 11PM and he knew he wouldn't get in. It was no big deal since I had an enormous room with two enormous beds. We took a pedicab because we couldn't walk very well. We kept falling out of the pedicab onto the street and the driver kept picking us up. I didn't think that was something I should mention on a nice website like this. But, you're right, nothing bad happened.
