What's even more fascinating is that my house always had a ghost/spirit. Lots of people had some experience with the ghost including myself. But when I brought a Thai spirit house home on one of our trips and put it in my backyard and opened the back door of the house for three days and nights, the ghost/spirit left my house. I'm not making this up.

Like the Wizard of Oz sign, "I'd turn back if I were you!"

I think the papaya diet is doing wonders for you!

This reminds me a little of the movie, Asteroid City, from Wes Anderson.

I thought I might have been so naive that I didn't know about some kind of fruit or confectionary that LOOKED like pink eggs. So I Googled "pink eggs" and before I knew it, Thailand came up. Pink eggs are a real thing, and there is a fascinating story behind them. Maybe you've covered that before. If so, I missed it.

Thanks, Bruce. I didn't know anything about spirit houses. That's fascinating.

So interesting. I feel your "irritation" about his "detachment to things" and his home inside a park. That wouldn't fly in a National or State Park in the U.S. I wonder if there are any "monks" living under boulders in National Forests...I imagine so.

BTW. That's a huge boulder. Is there any geological explanation the piling of these boulders?

What a beautiful, beautiful place to rest in. I feel your emotions about the places that will, inevitably, be too hot to visit -- in a way that feels active and "boots on the ground". Savor the moment.

Hey, thanks! Try to find one with a few more birds in it next time though. OK?

Are those eggs on the right side of the aisle? Pink eggs?

Dodie here-I feel your pain, my sister. As I have been reading your daily accounts I have been saying to Steve "Well, we can scratch off Southeast Asia. It would be way too hot for me." A shame really, because the places look interesting and the food, oh the food!

What a great sounding place! How nice to already have friends there. I’m sorry about your issues with heat. I wouldn’t have lasted for more than a week or two! Take care.
