It's your inner Maxwell Smart persona! Your enemies will never hear your conversations while under the cone of silence.

Great post. I haven't been five hundred miles from home for a couple of years.

I'm 1/2 Swede and a diehard Minnesotan. I can't imagine a REAL Swede settling down in such a sweltering hot climate for the winter. Of course, I know there are plenty of Minnesotans who go to Florida, Texas and Arizona during this time of year. To each their own, I suppose, but I don't get it.

No trap either which means that often these places have a horrible sewer gas odor.

Yes, I think so. The Thais definitely pick up all plastic bottles so they must get money for them, whereas the Lao burn them! We were so sick of the smell of burning plastic in Laos that that alone made us want to leave sooner.

Looks like the old way station for the people mover ride at Disneyland (circa 1964)

Andrea, Try wearing eye shades..I have three pair. I Can’t go to sleep without them even when our shades are closed and all lights are off. The company name is Bucky.. Hope this helps! ( there are several styles and thicknesses to choose from) Karen

Thanks for taking this photo of the framing on this. I love the design and am thinking about building something like this up at our lake house.

So far I have not found any explanation for these boulders. Their make up is so interesting too. They must be very very old and a lot of the granite has worn away from rain I guess leaving small chunks of quartz a little bit raised. At least I think it was quartz. The rock was very rough to walk on. I'd hate to fall on it. I'm no geologist, obviously.

It was that or go over the edge and land on the monk and his treasure. 😵‍💫
