It borders on terrifying, really.
1 year agoI know it wouldn't be the same but I'm sure someone in Portland could make one of those for you. https://indiometalarts.com/commissions/

1 year agoYou know, I use my noise-cancelling headphones on the flights to and from Asia, but it's extremely rare for them to get pulled out of the pannier during the trip itself. I am constantly wondering why I bring them along at all. But here you are, I didn't have to jump out of the plane so they are worth the space.
1 year agoWhew! What an ordeal! Thanks for this post, and for all the rest!
And the idea of sitting in a plane for hours listening to loud vocal fryers would make me want to pull the emergency exit door and jump!
Yeah that looks like Sept 2020. Argh.
1 year agoAlways enjoy your stats. Menu is great!
1 year agoI’m glad to finally see you post your stats! Very impressive! Andrea, I loved your comment about Bruce stats!

1 year agoSpeaking of the Swedes, we got an email from them the other day! They were packing up to go home too.
1 year agoGregory, As the main representative of the BruceStats Organization ™ I sincerely apologize for the delay. I forgot how busy my life is when I'm home and it almost makes me want to go back to Asia no matter how hot it is. BruceStats and my Final Thoughts will be forthcoming as soon as I can get my act together. Thank you for wondering about the Pink Eggs especially, but also the Swedes.
1 year agoYou are not the first to inquire on that very very tardy bit of data that we all look forward to. Thank you for the nudge!
1 year agoSurely there are some BruceStats coming up? I just wanted to tell you guys that I really enjoyed your journal. Almost everything I know about S.E. Asia comes from what you've written. I especially liked reading about the excellent (and inexpensive) lodging, the beaches, the food & drink, the kind people, the Swedes, and the pink eggs. Thank you.

We have now found two places in Thailand that make incredible bread and this is one of them.
