Yay! A new adventure to follow! Congratulations on the milestone anniversary - looking forward to following along.

Another good idea! I'll stay tuned.

Yes to taking the green bike. It's been for an oil change and a tune up. I just got back home yesterday. I've told Jacinto our project is to practice taking the wheel off/on. Between the Rohloff and the disc brake (plus worrying if I can get the tire off), it's an intimidating set up for me.
Today I rode Rifle Gap/Harvey Gap. That's one of my favorite local climbing rides. I had a gusting cross wind on the downhill, which was a shame, but I was comfortable with how the bike handled - so that's a relief.
Thanks, Keith. It looks like you're planning quite an adventurous route this year. We will enjoy following along.
7 months agoWe're never short on ideas - some much better than others :)
We'll be in northeast Illinois the first week of July. Maybe we can meet up on purpose this time.
Thanks, Kelly. We thought it was a bit better than the other option "Senior Citizens on Tour". We'll look forward to following your trip as well. Are you taking the green bike?

What a marriage of good ideas ;-)
Can't wait to read more!

Congratulations on your accomplishment! That is a great theme for the year. I look forward to following along.
7 months agoI absolutely love this! So, so cool, just like the people who you are! I will follow along . . . . hope you meet some of the kind people who I met on my Viking Quest Tour! Hugs, my friends!!!

Thanks, Scott. When we started talking about not riding to a different place everyday day, your names came up. I said your and Rachel's staying a few days in most places sounded very appealing. I think we will like this more relaxed format. It will also be good for arranging not to need to ride in the rain!
