Thanks, Keith. We took the slow, scenic route home and had a nice trip.
We'll be following your Heavy Rescue tour and looking forward to learning about the special surprise Seattle :)
We're looking forward to touring on our tandem again. It's just not the same, as you know, not to spend the day "really" together. I hope we'll be on the road again later this year.
5 months agoJeff,
We're happy to hear you enjoyed the courthouse pictures. We are going to really try to get to 7 more by bicycle before the year is out.
It's too bad we didn't make it to your part of Illinois this summer. It would have been fun to see you. Hope you have a great time on your upcoming tour. We'll be following your blog.
Jeanna and Kerry,
Sorry to see your trip coming to an end (for now). You two are so adaptable - figuring out what to do when changes need to be made.
Jeanna, best wishes for encouraging news on your leg.
Thanks to you both for all the inside courthouse pictures - I really enjoyed those.
Jeff
You saw some pretty great places on this trip! Looking forward to the next one!

Be safe going home!
My kind of wedding!
5 months agoOn my Phoenix I'm running Schwalbe Marathon Mondial's 37-622 (ISO) or 700x35 (metric) depending on the sizing standard you prefer.
On the Seavo I'm running the same tire but in 44-622 / 700x42's.
Neither size is FOR dirt, I HATE DIRT. Over the years, however, I have gone from 700x32 to the above sizes because, when touring, sometimes dirt is unavoidable.
Funny right!
6 months agoWhat tires are you running, to ride dirt? I've passed up the several dirt roads Jacinto has taken. It doesn't seem the best choice with these 32's. Jacinto said for sure that was the best choice today - the road was more rocks than dirt.
6 months agoJacinto says I'm the only person he knows who uses the word 'fella' - now he knows two people who use that word!
6 months agoJeanna and Kerry,
I love it when a bird photobombs my pictures!
Looking forward to your arrival in Illinois :)

I’ve been looking for courthouses for you. I don’t seem to find the old, beautiful type you’ve found back east.
5 months agoI hope you get your leg issues resolved.
