A great history lesson, did not know FDR association with that island, very good photos, just like Bob F. takes. CBR

I hope you had a great time riding in Michigan.
2 years agoWe had our ArriveCAN pass all set to go today as we traveled across Canada to Buffalo from Michigan. They never asked for it. Maybe because we also have Nexus. Our border crossing was slow but uneventful.
2 years agoHi Two Far. Looks like you’re having a great time. We did our Michigan ride with Bill & Connie. Amazing weather and fun rides About 50 miles/day. Mackinac island was nice- easy to do in one day. We will be planning a summer pannier ride when the pool is done. Ugh…still not done but getting there. Good luck out there.

2 years agoYes, it does look that way, but it is crazy cold up here! I think the temperature was in the 50's when I took that picture.
2 years agoI don't have any guesses. I saw that Edson Mfg on the "thing" and thought I might try to look it up.
2 years agoPerhaps something related to pumping out water? I found a link to Edson manufacturing at www.edsonintl.com that may help you solve the mystery.
