Don’t you wish we had places like this in Canada.

The best part was that she / he did not move so there was no waiting involved to get the picture. I recognized she / he immediately as we have a celebrity duck like this in a local lake in Burnaby. Quite rare in both areas I suspect.

We are sure cherishing the few bits of sunshine here. Really hoping for big changes in the weather for all of Italy!

This duck is quite famous in our home town. The below article is from 5 years ago but I think he is still being spotted there - along with the common wood ducks. Not really his natural habitat but seems to survive.

We do not have it yet either, so well done you!

That or a nutria. I’m not sure how you tell them apart, other than size (ambiguous here), and tail shape (not shown). Next time hold him up by the tail so we can get a better look.

Yup, definitely a Mandarin duck, and a species I haven’t listed yet this year. Such a colorful bird, a member of the same family as wood ducks. They’re perching ducks, so being out on a limb is appropriate.

Never heard of this expression but I like it! Thanks

I remember San Miniato! It’s the only time I’ve ever been doored. The guy that opened it right in front of me claimed it wasn’t his fault because he couldn’t see me, pointing at his broken rear view mirror.

Looks like a perfect ride plan for a wet day. Better luck tomorrow!

Cheers 🍻 wish we could join you. Too cold and wet to sit outside here in the south 🤷‍♂️

Once again, I think we have the same pic! Great ride to get into Tuscany. Happy to see that you had a great day for it!
