One of my favorite birds, but so elusive. I think I’ve seen one four times now, all in southern France or Spain, dashing across the road and disappearing into the trees before there’s time to react. Hopefully someday I’ll see one hold still long enough for a real look.

We had salt cod for the first time in Jamaica, & found it very tasty!
Their traditional specialty is salt cod & akee.

This view across the fields & forest, down towards the village & church, is very similar to one looking down over the small village where we lived many years ago. Memories!

No, don't know of Wallac & Gromit but I shall look it up. I demonstrated the juicer to another fellow this morning. He loved it and said he would need one to take home. LOL, I'm guessing it's a tad pricey. Then there is the oranges...

Yes, I also thought it might be a woodpecker based on its flight patterns. Now, we see these guys on every ride.

I hope you do book with them. It was a great experience, actually a whole buch of them! I felt like I knew Girona a little better afterwards. We also had a fun group.

Yes, this period consistently works out for us. It's also a break from the chill and the winds of the prolonged spring in Victoria.

What a fab looking food tour. Thanks for sharing so much of the food and info. Looking forward to it in September

Fantastic pics again! And the sky is still looking very blue. Looks like you choose the perfect time of year to visit.

I believe it is buckwheat. My favourite crepe! I've tried unsuccessfully to make them but it's worth the trip to France or Spain just to eat them!!

What a day! A bit of everything but glad it was lovely on the whole. What is there not to love about Spain! I love those walled city walks, the food and the beautiful countryside. So glad this next leg of your journey is going so well. xx

Such an intriguing looking bird! Reminds me of our pileated woodpeckers.

Interesting to see the full view you had, while zooming with the fitness group. Gorgeous!

We really need a safe passing law in BC. I note that in parts of Piemonte, local governments seem to have enacted such laws, perhaps in support of bicycle tourism (of which there seems more than other parts of Italy we’ve seen so far).
