If Rohan makes the Jumbo Visma team, we will be cheering for him.
What these guys do in the Grand Tours is so incredible. It is all too easy to lose touch with the fact that they are regular people doing something extraordinary.
We loved it when we could sit on the couch for 3 weeks and watch the Tour. Sadly, we only get snippets now.
It is very small but intriguing. And trodding in places inhabited in the Bronze Age is a brain twister. 😵💫
2 years agoWhat a tasty way to celebrate your tour!
Buen Provecho & Salud! 😋 🥂
Peratellada looks very intriguing & worth exploring!
2 years agoSuper beach & water! But you still didn’t go swimming!! 😔!
You always tease me with these gorgeous places of no entry ⛔️!
What an amazing looking celebratory dinner! Congratulations on completing your H&S tour. As this was a change from your usual tour design, I would be interested in reading your post mortem on the trip. We have fond memories of meeting you both (several times) on Mallorca. Hope you your trip home goes smoothly.
2 years agoGlad you made the bus. It's so great when those experiences work out. The scenery looks lovely. Too bad the ride back was a bit of trek but it seemed like another great day, topped with a delicious meal.
2 years agoVery cool chance meeting of Rohan Denis. Let's see what INEOS are going to do at the TDF this year. My money is on Pogacar again. Although, I'd love to see someone else take it.
2 years agoI hope you told Rohan Dennis of your Adelaide connection and visit! How great to meet and talk to him. Peratellada looks like the perfect town to visit. Good choice for another ensalada mixta.
2 years agoLooks like San Feliu is only 30 km south of Begur, where we stayed a number of years ago. I love that coast. We did some lovely, rugged walks along the coast and found the water beautiful for swimming/cooling down! Glad you made it to the coast despite the, at times, uncomfortable ride. The scenery looks lovely through the farms. Glad you got some shade. Something we are always grateful for too.
2 years agoMy favourite salad in Spain. I sometimes recreate it at home.
2 years agoI remember San Feliu with longing to go back. I was so tempted to spend an extra day there but I’d only ridden one day at that point. From there, I rode to Girona on the Ruta Carrilet and quite enjoyed it on my heavy bike (solo tour so carrying camping gear).
2 years agoI agree! I love this look.
2 years agoQuite a different look than the logging trucks we see here, in this area!
Thinking too of the sustainability of cork, as well as not being shipped away as a raw resource!
You bet we did! As for the salads, they are simple but so refreshing on a hot day.
