We think it’s terrific that you will be taking a break and staying with friends for two nights. Those refreshments are needed occasionally to get some physical and mental respite from the usual routine. Great idea!!
“Oh Canada!” will be a melody running through your heads for a few days; we are interested in your route and look forward to hearing about it once you get ‘back in the saddle’ (yet another song you can sing as you pedal along. 😌
Have a most fabulous visit/break !!

1 year agoSuch an exciting journey; love, love reading your daily journal snd your pictures are really arty (love that word) and will make for a spectacular book. Your spunk re the rain gear is beyond admirable. And ….. of course you will keep seeing eagles. 5 times more often, prob. Wishing you spectacular roads in Canada; am anxious to read tomorrow’s entry already. And Pat, Doreen and Trace (with their animals AND their signing) are definitely our kind of people. We are sitting on our screened in porch relaxing with 62 degrees….readying for 3-4 days of 90’s. Fearful you could see that, although you be above it. Hope so.
Until tomorrow’s read……ahhhh.

1 year agoIt is great to see your journal and posts! What an awesome journey! We've been wondering how your day went. :)
1 year agoYes, the people in this country Are Amazing. We meet them everyday. You and Phil prove it yourselves. That is what keeps us going on this trip and makes it more enjoyable.
Gary will always pass on your “Eagle” to everyone he meets. He loves it! 🤣🤣🤣🫱
Your writings make us feel there IS hope in the world for goodness and kindness, friendship and trust.
And Pat, Doreen and Trace are my kind of people! Clearly the last picture proves it … a trip to North Branch, MI might be in the cards!
Thanks for spreading the love and goodness. …. And the camaraderie of the bird. Hope you shared about the powerful Eagle!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LOIS!! Wow!! What a way to celebrate your 52nd birthday!! But the day sounds like it was a great one and the travel roads were, for the most part, decent! Re the Eagle: Holy man! Considering the SIZE of that mother, I'd have refrained as well! And those cute little eaglets don't need to know at this point in their lives that they will grow to be FIVE times more powerful than a bird.
Hoping you can have a good nightcap and lay your head on a soft pillow and that Gary will (for heaven's sake, yes) sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.
May tomorrow's rain be slight (unlike what we have had here today: 3.9 inches!!) and your riding easy......and fun! ICE CREAM!!
Ann and Phil
It’s exhausting to read your last few days’ excerpts…have so much admiration for your continued energy…and then biking in rain suits??! The bacon donut made us gag. 🤣 Really, Gary, no Eagle in sight near that smiley face???! Come on!
Hoping tomorrow is NOT raining, that ice cream shops are everywhere, and that IPA’s are free!!
Look for the big Eagle though!! It’s everywhere.
Ann/Phil
Gary gets his IPA & I get ice cream 🥳
