We tried to connect this year, but as I was headed east this time, our paths failed to cross. I think next year we should all meet in Portland. If Chump is tossed out, Léo might agree. There should be a requirement that all bike path or route designs should be carefully reviewed by thoughtful cyclists.

Dodie only glanced away for a second to check on a potential oncoming car. What do they need the riser for anyway? it is too low to stop a car coming on the path, too high for bike safety, ....blah.

‘Lucky no break’, I’d have said. What a hazard though! They should paint the riser a different color.

I wonder if the lettering put in by Rembrandt actually accurately says this, or if it is just stylized. If accurate, that would show an impressive command of the three alphabets or a good ability to copy from somewhere. Actually, just reading a bit about Rembrandt - he was a draftsman and generally very accurate guy. I think he put in the text because he really knew what he was writing.
