5 years agoSteri pens are great if you are traveling in a tough area. But, the batteries don't last long at all and the batteries are not normal ones. They are hard to find in other countries and therefore cost a fortune. For the same price we could have bought approximately 20 times more water (bottled water). And I think that is a rather conservative approximation. And in Thailand, where there are coin operated water dispensers everywhere, Steri pens really don't make sense.

5 years agoThey were delightful kids and many of them rode with us for quite some distance. One of the many delights of that day.
