2 months agoOh, Susan. I am so sorry to hear this. There are worse injuries than a broken rib of course, but what a disappointment. It’s good to see that your head is in the right place. Heal well! We’ve got a date in Annecy just around the corner!

2 months agoOh my! We are so sorry to hear this. It is wise that you have not continued, since bouncing along might very well have made an uncomfortable situation into a dangerous one. We wish you a rapid and complete recovery. There are still more adventures in your future and we look forward to reading about them.

2 months agoJambo, Susan! Soooo excited to see this trip, Susan. I was in the neighborhood of your ride near the end of an overland tour from Southampton to Nairobi in 1986 (not cycling, but a modified troop truck). Fabulous country. Trip of a lifetime, which I hope it is for you too.
