Switch:
50 some years ago, I worked in a TV shop for a few years. I learned that intermittent electrical problems are often due to a poor connection somewhere, and I would often be misled to think a component was bad, when it was a poor solder joint. You might check all the electrical connections in the area of the switch. A poor solder joint, for instance can work fine till things warm up or cool off resulting in expansion or contraction that eventually breaks the connection.
Then again, it could be a bad internal switch component.
Thanks for the picture Greg! I think this is a brand/model of trailer as I spotted another one while we were in Springville. Sure glad it's not an Airstream as the names are supposed to be registered and used only by one person.
3 years agoHi Marilyn,
I saw another RV named "Tango" recently. I took a picture but I can't post it here. After much thinking, I figured out another way. I posted it on my Cycle365 blog. Here's the link:

Jim liked the picture of the old cars/truck. Reminded me of Pixar's movie, Cars. Sure glad Garfield and Tango were spared getting hit by someone's awning. What a hassle.
3 years agoHi Maureen - Sorry about your bursitis but glad you are getting lots of dancing in. We'll be out of shape for that by the time we get home unless we find some places to go down the road. Thanks for the update on everyone but I thought Alan rode a trike?? That's kind of hard to fall off of!. When you get a chance, send me a regular e-mail so I can update my contacts on my new computer. Have fun!
3 years agoHi Don and Marilyn,
We are so glad you were able to get your vaccines. We too have had our flu shot and are waiting for Moderna to get their booster shot approved.
Lots of dancing lately and am feeling it in new places. Turns out I have bursitis. A round of anti inflamatories should do the trick. We are going to walk and have lunch with Ed and Helen next week. She is progressing well from her knee replacement, but not dancing quite yet. I think Mike and Teresa are off on another road trip. Alan (of Alan and Carol) had a bad bike fall, and although he did not break his hip, he is very sore and not dancing for awhile. We are doing quite a bit with Ted and Debbie and go to Heather Gardens about every 2 weeks to see them. Well, Jim is antsy to take Bailey for a walk. Safe travels.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've had another person suggest visiting Utah Trikes. Maybe if we have some down time, although we're not in the market for a trike or need any bike parts yet.
3 years agoYeah - this place was amazing! A true 'American Picker's' paradise!
3 years agoI almost took a picture of a place with about ten old gas station signs a couple weeks ago. No comparison to this collection.
3 years agoHi Marilyn, I normally just a lurker but read and enjoy all you journals. I wanted to comment on your glasses problem. For years I used stick on bifocal lenses when riding. Just search Amazon. They worked well for me.
If you happen to visit Utah Trikes check on the refund they owe me!
No, we didn't plan to visit that store. We've got other more important things to take care of like getting our furnace repaired and replacing my camera. When it rains, it pours!!!
3 years agoAre you going to visit Utah Trikes while you are in the area? You are RIGHT THERE!
My aunt and uncle live in Payson . . . small world.
In Paonia, we saw a fruit stand selling organic Fuji applies for $1.49, that was an excellent price for honey crisps.
Thanks Bill - that's kind of what I thought too but have never seen them so red.

Thanks for the info Bill - I'll pass it along to Don, although we would have no way to fix a solder joint here. Don's been on-line, reading the Airstream forum discussions about this issue - it's quite common and can often be resolved by getting a different switch. Hopefully that will be the case for us!
