My “train option” in the rain today wasn’t .. however, the sprinkles were a better alternative than the downpour 15 minutes earlier..
2 months agoSteve, it was huge 😂
2 months agoThat photo is deceptive. Not a big as it looks. It sure was good!
2 months agoAren’t they cool? So festive and pretty.
2 months agoAren’t we! And maybe the rain is a reminder to slow down and smell the roses. The skies today had their own special beauty.
2 months agoUh uh, double the fun!
2 months agoI'll say! Good decision to take the train.
2 months agoI read your journal about that disaster and actually thought of it when Keith told me what had happened. What a scary day that was for both of you! It is crazy how it can happen, but at least these days we can call each other…unless there is no service. I think your Garmins are the perfect solution.
2 months agoWell, Kathleen my route in northern Netherlands ( Friesland) was very similar to yours.. 🌧️ downpours happened just as we were going to exit the Spitkeet museum. Thank goodness we were allowed to wait an extra 10 minutes! Goats, water views and safe cycling routes! We are all so lucky!
2 months agoI had 🐐 today, too! Yay!
2 months agoBe careful about that. One of my worst experiences cycle touring was when we were separated going up a pass and didn’t find each other for a long time! Fortunately, I ran into some people that told me he was ahead of me but I didn’t have food or warm clothing so it was such a relief when we finally found each other.
2 months agoI love towns with hanging umbrellas! We’ve seen so many on our trips.
2 months agoAnd sometimes the location you want isn’t on the sign because they assume you know the town after it. Even the S Bahn to the Zürich train station was like that. We were on the train to Rapperswill because that was the final stop.
2 months agoIt was! Problem was that it disappeared so quickly. I really have to pay attention when Keith has ice cream.
