Dodie wakes up frequently in the night and it is usually her that picks up and answers comments before they get lost in the shuffle. We tend to eat like your "usual" pattern also, which is why the salad quantity really struck Dodie.
2 months agoDo you sleep? Yes that salad was all we needed. It was probably the best salad I have ever had. We often share a main course with a salad. Over indulged for sure. And we never stop for lunch under normal circumstances.

2 months agoTo start? That would do as a main for us to share! No wonder you left feeling stuffed.
2 months agoBad weather you had. We were pretty lucky today.
How are the bike paths on your route. Can you follow just one a day? Are they easy to follow?
Oh shit! Don‘t like this either

2 months agoYou are so right Rachael to get the reassurance that it would be okay to climb over the concrete barrier. It was a good thing that it wasn’t barricaded by a fence.
2 months agoThanks for your comment Pierre. I must tell you one of our most memorable and cherished times bike touring in Europe was when we met you and your friend Pierre on your road bikes in 2019. The next day you rode out on your motorcycle to intercept us riding from Albertville to Annecy. You and Pierre generously took us out for dinner that night and then the next day you lead us up the Col de la Colombière on that most spectacular day. Here is a link to that day.

The bike path today along a canal was very good. It was nice to get routed off the busy highway. We just followed the Komoot generated route for the most part. We took a few side roads when we could. The Komoot view on the screen as we ride is excellent so you can pick your opportunities as they arise. Hope that answers your questions. Safe travels!
