Train days can be exhausting but in the end it all works out 👍

4 months agoWere the tandem couple also on the train? How did their tandem load? I've wondered if we ever want to take the train, how could my long recumbent load. It would be similar to a tandem in length.

4 months agoBetter job than I can do. Such a surprise they were from Montreal, which I established in my limited French. They had not a word off English between them.
4 months agoWe probably wouldn’t have made it if we hadn’t fallen into that ‘what’s around the next corner’ mindset. So glad we did. It was a real overview of the city.
4 months agoI stayed in one of those hotels way back in 1980. I remember looking out the window first thing in the morning to see they were setting up the market. I was bursting with that ‘lucky me’ feeling. I had fallen firmly in love with cycling in France at that point. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. What a grand time you two are having!

4 months agoWhat a fabulous view. I remember thinking it was too far to walk there, given the time we had, so we missed out on it. Nice to see what we missed!
