10 months agoThanks Anne for the suggestion. I think we will be running out of time to get over to that area. But certainly will have a closer look with your train to Barcelona suggestion.
11 months agoThanks for checking out the coastal route and showing us that it is rideable, even with a killer wind 💨 I don’t want your journal to end but look forward to hearing more from you when you return home 🏡
11 months agoThe wind was blowing inland also. We were glad that our day, being only 25 km, ended at midday. The wind picked up even more after that.
11 months agoIt always amazes me that the routing algorithms routinely do this trick, when there is a perfectly good and easier alternative.

Steve - I will sent you an email tonight as to our plans over the next few days so hopefully we can make it work.

If you have another moderate climb in your legs and some decent weather, I can recommend the route over to Campodron and then Ripoll. The train (which would takes bikes… an important consideration) goes from Ripoll to Barcelona, but there is so much gorgeous scenery in that region that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Just a thought.
