Great following you two along this route making me reread our blog to refresh my memories of our ride. Quite the day you had and glad you got the bike sorted out.

What a day!

Jacinto thinks this is a fig. He says they are purple when they are ripe. You don't have to peel them, you just eat them. But, he's not positive this is a fig.

Jacinto says in Mexico the little fruits are called 'tunas', and you peel the skin off and then eat them. Jacinto says he personally doesn't like them as they have too many seeds. His brother loves tunas, and eats so many that he gets constipated!

Long day! Glad you found a bike shop, even if you had to wait for it.

Red legs, straight black beak, black wings... Yup, black winged stilt... apparently, they often also have a black cap!

We still remember him fondly. He was a character, but a sweetie with our class. The resemblance lies in the beak and the sweep of the hair.
