Is that an orange and mango cheese I see there in front?
1 year agoWhat a great procession! We haven’t seen any processions in Italy.
1 year agoI think her name is Arbora. She's been out doing magical good works in the world with her fairy dust and now she's returning to her home behind the narrow door, deep in the tree.
1 year agoShe really does look like a fairy dancing on the roots.
1 year agoThe girl makes this image! Now it's not just a picture of a tree, it's part of a fairy tale.
1 year agoThis was never Dodie's idea of a fun ride, even with good knees. We are resorting to filtering for routes consisting of paved roads only, and she is much happier. Traffic on a paved road is better than a dirt track any day, says she. It really does take all kinds....
1 year agoI’m thinking it looks great, but I’d want more dirt-oriented tires. Of course, my current touring bikes are designed for such surfaces (and I have original, if not fully intact, knees).
1 year agoLooks like a policeman of the Guardia Civile in dress uniform. Equivalent of the French Gendarme or the Italian Carabineri.
1 year agoIn the for what it is worth department....we will no longer even enter the US, let alone cycle there.
1 year agoFor what it’s worth, I find cycling in Europe far less scary than riding in the USA. I’ve only done a little of the latter, the San Juan Islands and (circa 1990), the Oregon Coast.

These people are mostly dressed up ìn their "best". Steve and I have an ongoing disagreement about the need to dress up a bit. He says his shorts and t-shirt are fine, I feel maybe pants would be better. Neither of us wear cycling shorts, but rather looser longer regular "shorts" so maybe it is ok? I wear long lightweight pants or 3/4 length and do not really own a skirt. We are generally not out after maybe 5pm, and usually early to bed so cannot really comment on normal evening clothing. We do not eat much in restaurants, but rather usually get stuff from grocery stores. Ends up being a lot of fruit, veggies, yogurt and sandwiches.
1 year agoWe have been warned that we need to dress better (not said in exactly those words). Specifically we were told that I should wear a skirt and that Jacinto needed pants, not shorts, and that flip flops were definitely out.
Perhaps these people are dressed up for Easter, but on a typical evening, what are the people wearing?
We really are! The whole last few days have been fabulous and tomorrow looks to be great too.

Yes it is, and we failed to buy and try.
