11 months agoHi Greg, my plans evolve day by day, but my short term goal is to get to a mid-February rendezvous in Oaxaca. I’m currently working on a route via Guadalajara. If you plan to go that way we may still meet, I ride slow.
11 months agoDavid, i met a Serbian Tourer a couple of days ago who mentioned you and this site. Unfortunately I just got to La Paz today Id be interested in talking of your future plans. Safe travels. Greg.

Tarantula hawk wasps on milkweed.
The wasps are not especially aggressive, but their sting, although not dangerous, is among the most painful on earth. I have been around many of them without a hint of aggression.

There’s the occasional place with lots of flies and suspected hygiene, which I’ll avoid, but as a rule the street food places are merely simple, not dirty. I try to pick places with a crowd, never drink tap water, buy fruit you can peel. I need to eat more vegetables, and am getting tired of eggs
