Compared to other towns I’ve been to, yes. But it’s still definitely a Mexican town so there’s still some litter, flies in the bakeries, etc

11 months agoIt's "El Castillo del Diablo" - easily found all over the internet. It was built about 8 years ago, valued at $3 million, by a clearly cuckoo American gothic art fan. He built it here because of lax regulations in Mexico, says his wife hates it and would burn it down, but wants to convert it to a museum.
11 months agoNot many, but yes. There’s decent sidewalk. It was seeing a pedestrian emerge that removed my reluctance to enter. It’s a three dimensional road network

11 months agoNot a fun stretch, but as a rule drivers have been very accommodating. The exception was the other day in Silao where I thought perhaps I was invisible, the motorcycles kept nearly clipping me

The traffic in the tunnels and on the streets is all one-way, so I imagine that helps.
